The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Design expands on existing knowledge, understanding and experience of design as a process and a way of thinking. Students are challenged to design in different contexts including sustainability, industry and entrepreneurship, user experience, project management, online education, and communities. This is achieved through group projects that involve various stakeholders and local communities in a sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
Students are prepared for further postgraduate study by developing their research capacity in the methodology and techniques of their chosen design discipline. The course incorporates interdisciplinary knowledge and students are encouraged to see design as an integrating process that benefits from collaboration.
