Position summary and job purpose:
Inscape is looking to hire a Part-Time Lecturer at our Stellenbosch campus to lecture qualifications from NQF Level 5 to NQF Level 7 for the Bachelor of Design - Interior Design.
All programmes function in an innovative, multidisciplinary context in which Inscape aims to link design thinking, communication, marketing, business, the circular economy, the Sustainable Development Goals, and entrepreneurship.
Programmes, curricula, courseware, and assessments are designed centrally and presented by lecturers on various campuses.
Main Job Responsibilities, Part-Time Lecturer:
The lecturer will primarily be responsible for teaching subjects within the area of their expertise and responsibilities include:
- Preparing for and facilitating classes.
- Guiding students through the learning process
- Assessing student work and providing feedback
- Administration, including entering marks, and monitoring performance.
- Networking with industry and higher education institutions
- Attending meetings and training
Minimum Requirements - Applicants must only apply if you can demonstrate the following Competencies, Skills & Characteristics:

Critical Requirements, applicants should have:
- excellent up-to-date knowledge of their discipline

- the ability to collaborate and initiate projects.
Education and Experience:
- The applicant MUST hold a minimum of an Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in an appropriate field. The qualification should be in Built Environment, or a related field with interior design up to third year degree level.
- Experience of teaching in Higher Education and/or an appropriate teaching qualification and/or industry experience would be an advantage.
