Introduce your own unique style to the fashion industry with the Bachelor of Design Specialising in Fashion Design. Learn how to utilize design thinking and problem-solving techniques that are required for conceptual idea generation. Enjoy exploring cultures, sub-cultures, and individuals’ sense of style when working with patterns, clothing, textiles, sustainable and related materials.
Students are encouraged to play a role in multidisciplinary teams using fashion design to address challenges in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fashion production and management. Conceptualising design solutions, drafting and manipulating flat patterns and constructing garments for multi-cultural markets. Digitally creating fashion illustrations using computer-aided design, planning, and implementing media strategies to promote their fashion brand, concepts, and products.
Develop communication skills and the ability to articulate and justify your decision making. This approach supports ‘sustainable learning’ to ensure our students are ready to take on the fashion industry and a variety of contexts. Research and analysis of current trends including sustainable fashion and circular economy approaches to re-use and recycle, support students in their aim of creating new and innovative fashion products.

Objectives
