You can enrol for our Bachelor of Design programme at any campus to complete your 1st year. Our programmes are quality assured and standardised across all Inscape campuses. Students who are accepted into certain degree specialisation programmes might be required to complete their 2nd and 3rd-year studies at another specialised Inscape campus.
FUNDAMENTAL DESIGN 1st year – DESIGN SKILLS

DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC 2nd year – DESIGN KNOWLEDGE
Discipline Specific knowledge will be developed through the study of the advancement and use of communication and marketing in society. Studies of the role of communication will equip the marketing and communication designer to apply their practical design thinking and skills to the world of marketing. Further topics such as consumer and buying behaviour, communicating with specific audiences and generating content for online marketing will also be covered.
In Integrated Marketing students learn to apply theory to practice through developing organisational and global communication skills and strategies that will set the marketing and communication designer apart from their peers. Aspects such as public relations, sales, advertising, research and analysis, media planning, social media management, brand management, sponsorship and direct marketing are a few of the topics covered.
Advancing software skills and technical knowledge through generating and combining copy, graphics, photography and video as well as data visualisation techniques help to promote visually strong brands and integrated messages.
The guidelines and legal requirements of branding and intellectual property are addressed in relation to corporate identity and corporate governance. The effectiveness of the marketing message is evaluated using research and analysis to establish return on investment and to inform future marketing strategies.
SPECIALISATION 3rd year – DESIGN STYLE
Developing a signature marketing design style by exploring marketing communication models, ideas and innovative implementation through critical and innovative thinking.
Developing advanced knowledge and expert skills in marketing, sales and distribution management, public relations, service marketing and advertising. Marketing management models are applied to real world scenarios. Multichannel communication management is a key factor in acquiring publicity, marketing and industry practice skills.
Awareness of the potential of the latest distribution channels, design technologies and innovations through measuring effectiveness using analytical based software programmes.
Developing an understanding of the guidelines and principles involved in running a business. Promoting business vision, mission and values give graduates the confidence and ‘know-how’ to start their own initiatives based on a foundational knowledge of managing a business and its finances.
Students who have graduated with the Bachelor of Design degree may apply to register for an Honours or Post Graduate Diploma in a related field. Institutional minimum requirements will apply.
