What is Architectural Design?

The Built Environment deals primarily with man made structures and spaces providing an arena in which people live, work and play. The Architectural Designer has a keen interest in the design side of these environments and focusses on how people engage and operate within them. The Architectural Designer would rely on complimenting professionals who address the technical concerns of such an environment, however, he or she should at least have an understanding of the basic knowledge and skill within the industry. Further studies provide opportunities to explore; architecture, landscape architecture, town planning, civil engineering, interior design, and ecological design.
