Position summary and job purpose:

The successful Tele Sales agents will be responsible for following up and qualifying (sifting) all leads that have been received for all courses and programmes offered by Inscape.

The Tele Sales agent should be aware that she/he is the first point of contact for the Company and should therefore present a good impression and be able to interact with people in a friendly business-like manner via the phone and social media platforms.

Inscape is looking to hire a dynamic Dean of Business and Innovation. This Faculty encompasses Higher Education programmes at NQF5 to NQF7 levels including the BA Digital Marketing and Communication and BDesign Ideation. The Dean will be responsible for overseeing these programmes and identifying future programmes that function in an innovative, multidisciplinary context in which Inscape aims to link design thinking, communication, marketing, business, circular economy and entrepreneurship. The position is based at the Inscape Head Office in Pretoria, with remote working as an option.

The Dean will provide strategic direction for the faculty including:

  • Identifying and developing new programmes for accreditation
  • Ensuring the quality of new and existing academic programmes on multiple platforms
  • Ensuring the delivery of sound academic programmes on multiple sites
  • Supporting effective teaching and learning
  • Assisting with programme accreditation, review and validation
  • Establishing a research culture amongst faculty staff and students
  • Establishing and maintaining a network with industry, professional bodies, disciplinary experts, fellow academics and alumni
  • Leading programme managers and developers in the faculty
  • Contributing to HR targets and requirements
  • Managing the faculty budget.

The applicant should have a minimum of a Masters Degree in a relevant area such as business, commerce, marketing, entrepreneurship or related area. A PhD and an Education qualification would be advantageous. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Higher Education and an understanding of curriculum design and National qualification frameworks.

The Instructional Designer (Remote Learning) works with learning material that is provided to them and is responsible for populating e-Learning courses on the digital platforms used by Inscape. They are responsible for developing interactive exercises and learning opportunities in collaboration with a learning designer and or graphic designers as required. The Instructional Designer will make a significant contribution to the student learning experience and journey by ensuring the utmost quality in instructional design for Inscape’s Remote Learning students.

Critical Requirements

Knowledge and experience in:

  • Building courses on digital learning platforms
  • Applying creative learning techniques to various topics to encourage learning across different generational and or demographic groups
  • Uploading and managing content for several projects on digital learning platforms
  • Creating an engaging online learning experience that maximises learning opportunities
  • Appropriate use of colours, images, layout, etc., to create an aesthetically pleasing learning experience
  • Visualising required instructional graphics to brief a design team
  • Appling tested instructional design theories, practices and methods
  • Providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Creating (or briefing design team to create) supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role play, games, etc.)
  • Maintaining and archiving project documentation and course folders
  • Editing and developing online learning material
  • Creating learning experiences and environments
  • Developing instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools
  • Analysing, updating and refining existing online content
  • Keeping up to date on best practice in instructional design
  • Writing scripts for video and audio content
  • A strong command of the English language – communication (written, spoken and comprehension).

Minimum Education and Industry Experience

  • NQF 7 qualification in design, education, ICT, or similar
  • At least 2 years working experience
  • Exposure to or a demonstrated interest in education. Teaching experience, curriculum design or content development experience preferred
  • Articulate Rise and Storyline experience and knowledge
  • Writing narratives
  • Video production / editing
  • Editing and inserting voice-overs
  • Desktop publishing skills
  • LMS experience
  • Experience in content management
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
